Guesthouse faqs

  • Can we bring our pets?
    Your furry children are welcome at the Guesthouse! Please contact us to arrange Reservations Department on: +27-61-549-1469.
  • What is the check-in/check-out times?
    Check-in is between 14h00 and 20h00. Check-out is at 10h00 daily. Please arrange for late arrivals with Management.
  • Is there a breakfast included in our stay?
    No, we do not serve breakfast at the Guesthouse.
  • Do you accommodate children?
    Yes, children are very welcome at the Guesthouse.
  • Is there Wi-Fi in every room?
    Yes! There’s free high-speed Wi-Fi accessible to all guests throughout the property.
  • What is there to see in the nearby surroundings?
    The Valley of Desolation, Camdeboo National Park, Hester Rupert Art Museum and Groot Kerk – Dutch Reformed Church.
  • Can you recommend nearby Restaurants?
    There is a handful of restaurants offering a variety of meals near the Guesthouse?
  • Is there a restaurant on location?
    There is no restaurant in our Guesthouse. However, within short driving distance, you’ll have access to a wide variety of restaurants.
  • Are the rooms service daily?
    Yes, all rooms are tidied every day and for longer staying guests, the linen and towels are changed every 3rd day.
  • Is the pool area open to all guests?
    Yes, the Pool and Lapa is a communal area and open for all guests to enjoy.
  • Is smoking permitted?
    Smoking is NOT allowed in rooms or other Internal spaces. Guests may smoke outdoors.
  • Can we Braai (Barbeque) at the Guesthouse?
    Absolutely, there’s nothing like a fire amongst the Mountains.
  • Does load-shedding affect the Guesthouse?
    No! We have installed backup batteries and inverters to ensure our guests always have a reliable electricity supply.
  • How can I choose if I want a double bed or two single beds?
    Please contact Reservations and we will advise if it is possible to move your booking to another room.
  • Is there air-conditioning in the rooms?
    Yes, all the rooms have air-conditioning which is controlled independently.
  • Are towels and linen provided?
    All our rooms come with bed linen and towels provided free of charge.
  • What is included in our rooms?
    Power, water, heating, shower, television, aircon, bedding including bed sheets, duvet covers, towels and pillowcases, self-catering kitchen including Microwave, Ketel, Cutlery, Fridge, Milk, Coffee, Tea, Sugar and Coldwater.
  • Is it possible to make a reservation on the day of the stay?
    Yes. Please call us to check the availability of rooms.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept Cash, Master & Visa Credit Cards, as well as EFT payments.
  • Do your offer parking?
    Yes. We offer free off-street parking.
